Cornelius Vermuyden School officially joins SEEAT
On Monday 1st June 2026, the school formally transferred to The Trust, after working together since April 2024.
We are so pleased that the Department for Education selected us to continue our journey with the school, and are delighted to now fully welcome Cornelius Vermuyden School into the SEEAT family of nine schools.
We would like to thank the members of the Cornelius Vermuyden Board of Trustees for the knowledge and skills they have shared in supporting the school’s improvement. The school now has a new Governing Body which is chaired by Andrew Sheldon.
Recent Ofsted monitoring visits have also recognised the strong and positive progress being made under the leadership of Headteacher Dee Conlon.
Dee Conlon, Headteacher, said:
“Strong and effective partnerships have developed between the school and South East Essex Academy Trust, enabling the school to make rapid progress, and we are focused on ensuring the school continues to go from strength to strength.”
